Designed as a "hands on" (pun intended!) instruction for non-professionals who want to learn specific massage techniques to give to their sweetheart, their family and their friends. Participants are introduced to basic massage strokes incorporated into a full body massage in the Esalen and Swedish styles. The result is fantastic opportunities to both receive some strokes while also learning to give a relaxing and healthful massage. Two friends or a couple (the workshop requires a "double occupancy" or two consenting adults) are required for this class.

This workshop is supervised by a professional massage instructor and therapist. This initial exposure to massage is a wonderful way to explore the healing power of human touch in a safe, structured environment and professional setting. Please note: this workshop offers training exclusively in therapeutic non-sexual touch. Touch for sexual purposes is outside the bounds of this workshop.

Instruction is 3 to 4 hours long (according to participants' needs) and includes a booklet that defines massage terms, gives detailed instructions on massaging the various parts of the body from head to toe, and provides a suggested reading list.

All materials, including a massage table, linens and oils are provided. As a bonus, small bottle of my exclusive blend of massage lotion is also included. Please note: due to space constraints, there are only 2 people per workshop, which insures one-on-one instruction.

NOTICE: This workshop does not represent a massage certification or licensing program, and the massage techniques you learn cannot be used for profit. Only state certified and licensed massage therapists can professionally practice massage within the State of California. This workshop is solely offered as private massage instruction only and in no way represents training from a state certified massage school or vocational training in massage.
